Abstract

This is the concluding report of the Third International Conference onTeaching and Researching Cinematography, called ‘Cinematography inProgress’, which took place in Brussels in April 2019. The main venue ofthis event was the Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema and Sound(RITCS), while some of the events were held at the Institut nationalsupérieur des arts du spectacle et des techniques de diffusion (INSAS).This conference was organised by the International Federation of Cinematographers (IMAGO) and The Belgian Society of Cinematographers (SBC), with the help of two Belgian schools, the Lusofona University in Portugal and Mediarte. It was chaired by Ella van den Hove and Marijke Van Kets, who were assisted by Tony Costa, the IMAGO chair education committee, and the entire event was managed by Nina Payrhuber.
