CITO Journal Issue 4 – Call for Papers Now Open

We are pleased to announce that we are currently preparing Issue 4 of the CITO – Cinematography in Progress Journal, and we invite all speakers from our conferences in Stuttgart (April 2025) and Lisbon (June 2026) to develop their conference presentations into papers for publication.

The journal continues and expands the discussions initiated during the conferences, making the presented research, artistic practices, case studies, and perspectives accessible to a wider international community of cinematographers, filmmakers, researchers, educators, and students.

We warmly encourage you to submit a paper based on your conference presentation.

If you have already uploaded a paper previously, please check whether it is still up to date before the submission deadline.

Timeline

• Submission deadline: November 2, 2026
• Peer review completed by: December 18, 2026
• Publication of Issue 4: February 27, 2027
