CITO Journal Issue 4 – Call for Papers Now Open to All Registered Users
CITO Journal Issue 4 – Call for Papers Now Open
2026-08-26
We are pleased to announce that we are currently preparing Issue 4 of the CITO – Cinematography in Progress Journal. Speakers from our conferences in Stuttgart (April 2025) and Lisbon (June 2026) are especially encouraged to develop their conference presentations into papers for publication.
Please note: The Call for Papers is now open to all registered users, not only to conference speakers. We warmly welcome submissions from the broader community.
The journal continues and expands the discussions initiated during the conferences, making the presented research, artistic practices, case studies, and perspectives accessible to a wider international community of cinematographers, filmmakers, researchers, educators, and students.
We warmly encourage you to submit a paper based on your conference presentation or research. If you have already uploaded a paper previously, please check whether it is still up to date before the submission deadline.
Please note that for submissions from non-conference participants accepted for publication, a small processing fee may apply.
Timeline
- Submission deadline: November 2, 2026
- Peer review completed by: December 18, 2026
- Publication of Issue 4: February 27, 2027
Please upload your paper in the section "Conference Monography 2025/2026" under the category "ISSUE4: Cinematography Today." Further information regarding submission guidelines and the review process will follow.
We hope you will contribute to the upcoming issue and continue the exchange and discussions that began at the conferences.
